KINGMAS Mini 60x Microscope

LED UV Light Pocket Jeweller Loupe

The KINGMAS Mini 60x Microscope is a portable simple microscope (Dimensions 2.3 x 1.9 x 0.8 inches) that weighs about 0.6 ounces/30g. The microscope comes with a number of features aimed at enhancing functionalities.

One of the most important features here is the bright LED light that provides sufficient light for the microscope to be used in different or changing conditions. In addition to the LED light, the microscope comes with adjustable focus that allows for magnification of up to 60x.

This is a relatively high magnification that allows the microscope to be used in such fields as medicine, for industrial purpose as well as for hobbies (to view coins, stamps and jewelry among others).  It's powered by 3 x LR1130 batteries which are conveniently packed into the battery compartment that is attached to the microscope tube.

This gives its neat appearance making it easier to carry and use.

Some of the other features of the KINGMAS Mini 60x Pocket Microscope include:

  • The body is made up of metal and plastic
  • A glass lens
  • A 3- position switch (for the LED lighting)

KINGMAS Mini 60X Overview

The Mini KINGMAS is a neat, little device that is powered by 3(LR1130) batteries. The battery compartment has in place a small switch at the bottom end that allows for lighting to be switched on and off. The microscope tube is only composed of the eyepiece, the adjustable tube for focus as well as the objective lens on the other end.

Once the light (LED) is turned on, the user can adjust the adjustable tube to focus on the object of interest. The 3-position switch allows the user to change from one blue LED illumination to three relatively powerful blight white light of the LED (center switch turns it off).

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Small and uses battery - The KINGMAS Mini 60x Microscope is a small magnifier which means that the user has the freedom to carry it around and is therefore in a position to use it whenever they wish. In addition, the magnifier uses batteries that can be replaced. This is a big advantage in that it doesn't require charging or need electricity when out in the field.

  • Magnification - It provides a sharp image that allows it to be effectively used for such purposes as reading serial numbers or getting a magnified view on various objects like jewelry. The magnification works just as described.

Cons

  • It is made of lower quality materials and therefore can be easily damaged. And the price reflects the quality.
  • It may prove hard to focus for some users.

Conclusion

The KINGMAS Mini 60x Microscope is a very simple microscope (magnifier) that can be used to view a range of objects from insects to stones.

It offers portability and a great price tag.

As such, it is suitable for kids who would enjoy observing a range of objects outdoors.  It can help them view and identify different parts of various objects and insects etc. thereby providing a good learning opportunity.

Another similar pocket microscope to consider would be the Carson MicroMax Microscope

The SE MW10087L Mini Brass Microscope with Illuminator is a tiny and handy device for a very, very low price as well.
